Today we are excited to announce the launch of our new Weybridge Men’s Shed website.
We are were very happy to have partnered with ‘48in48’ to get our website up and running. 48in48 is a great charity, sponsored by IBM, who hold weekend long events in major cities across the world to build new websites for deserving charities. At the end of the 48 hours, 48 organisations have a sparkling new digital presence up and running. This year, the event was held virtually across the globe with over 400 volunteers, targeting the creation of 600 charity websites! And we were thrilled to be selected to be part of this year’s event.
We were very lucky to have a great team from IBM to work with over the weekend. We had a team with skills and experience covering content, marketing, graphics and technical expertise. We gave them our ideas, our background information and set them free to see what they could come up with.
Over the course of the first weekend in October, with lots of coffee, lots of conference calls, and lots of feedback between the team and all of us at Weybridge Men’s Shed, we developed and published our shiny new website. You’ll notice we even have a new logo, which is quite similar to our planned Shed here at Weybridge!
We hope you all like our new website. We will be updating it as we get closer to our ‘Go Live’ date. Our aim is that once we open you will be able to book in for sessions at the Shed, find out about upcoming projects, and even book in projects which you may want us to take on. We want to make it as easy as possible for everyone to find us, get in touch, and feel welcome! We now have a way to spread the word about our Shed and for all our future Shedders to find us. Please help us continue to grow by sharing the website with your contacts.
